Did   the welding on the o/s of the Omega.  >:D
Hopefully get the other side done next weekend.  :)
Pretty sure I heard a blow from the o/s front of the exhaust, so another job to add to the list.

Fetched the trailer this morning, was 12.30 by the time I got it in the workshop. 12.45 the sides were cut off and by 5 I had the side frames fitted, Its going to make a great teardrop trailer. The funny bit it the trailer was on a caravan chassis!

Left it at home to suffer 2 hours on a train. The drive home should be less stressful.

I mean as less stressful as a £600 204k mile Merc ML can be >:D

Sat on my backside drinking a nice coffee as the 'up and over' car wash got rid of the coating of Sahara dust.  :)

Another day of cutting, grinding and welding but have a working door on the teardrop, just a bit of welding left. Cut out the one side from a sheet of ply, Its coming together nicely.

Both wrong  ;D

Actually Stemo is half right. It's got 4 different tyres on it with varying wear so it's a bit wandery and the front discs are worn but otherwise it's impeccable under the circumstances  :D

29.8 mpg and 61 uneventful miles.

Yup all the way to Lundun Bridge and 3 trains to get to Kent... ::)

Just over an hour in the car and even the Proper Car is cheaper than the £40 the train cost. :-X

Trains aren't viable if you live outside the cities.  Even between cities, where they could be viable if you ignore the cost, they aren't really viable.

By the time I've paid for parking at the station, I get a couple of quid change from £100 to do 50 miles each way to Londonium.  It's cheaper to hire a car, pay for fuel, pay for Khan the Khunt's taxes and pay for parking....
