Presumably, cutting out the rot and welding new metal in place of it ?
Any other method would seem pointless.  ;)

Spent the day with the terrific Addy, off of this here forum, finding that I had done a biblically useless lack of preparation for reinstalling the engine into the purple project. Intended on having it done by noon. Finished about half four instead.

But it's there now... Only 150 more jobs to go!

Arrived home to find the two door cards for TPC waiting for me. Just spent the evening cleaning them up and fitting all the bits and bobs from the original ones.

Hopefully get them fitted tomorrow and that'll be another piece of the retrofit project done...  :)

Finally got around to replacing the driver side ecu case in the scuttle on TPC after I managed to break the lid about 6 months ago.

I had been putting it off as I didn't really fancydepinning half the car. As it happened, three plugs from the engine and the hardest part was fishing out the distronic loom because some eejit, namely me, had cable tied it in the name of neatness ::)

On the plus side, it gave loads of space to clean that side of the scuttle as it had clearly never been done.

Just need to clear all the low voltage codes.

I manually changed the clock today in my fancy premium brand 5 Series BMW.  :)

To date my humble Vauxhall Omega is the only car I've ever owned that has altered the time itself when the clocks go back/forward.  ::)  :-\

Neither of my poxy Jaaaaagggs can set the time.  The only 2 cars I've owned since the early 90s that can't.

I guess we are supposed to take it to dealers to sort.
