Wanted - 3.0L lower divider
« on: 02 February 2011, 21:11:34 »

Hi all, I'm looking to carry out a Z32SE transplant and am looking for the lower inlet plenum to replace the restrictive one in the 3.2. - Anyone help?
Cheers

I've got a bored out and matched set (alloy and plastic sections) that were originally from a 2.5 but are now at least equivelant to size of the 3.0 ones.  Complete with fuel rail and cleaned injectors.

All done professionally and shining like new!

Asking £60 + postage for whole lot, can provide pictures.

Pics would be great if poss.
What engine has the inlet and FR come from? - c25xe/x25xe?
Does that include the inlet manifold

It's the runners and the divider from an X25XE.  Will post photos ASAP.

Photos as promised.  As you can see, the runners have been opened out and matched to the flange plate, also the injector port has been blended out...

ah nutsacks - that set up won't fit unfortunately as it's for a Calibra where the inlet goes over the back (transverse)

You're gonna have to use the front wheel drive 2.5 inlet setup then because ALL of the Omega engines use this style.  Then you're gonna get fueling problems running a 3.2 ECU without the multi-ram gear that it will expect to be there.

I take it the Omega plenum and induction manifold would foul the bonnet?

Yep, Omega inlet would foul the bonnet.
The engine I have is a Z32SE which is from a Vectra 'C' (I think the Omega 3.2 is Y32SE) so the set up will already be front wheel drive, that also means I don't have to swap the sump. I believe that I can use my current ECU from my X25XE.
The black lower divider will fit though and that's the bit I really need although some freshly cleaned injectors would have been nice. There is a place on eBay that will sell cleaned injectors on an exchange basis

Just had a look on EPC and I'd say you should check very carefully that the Omega lower divider will fit (unless of course you're going on the advice of someone who has done it already) because that is a COMPLETELY different induction manifold.  I like how they've done the multi-ram though  ;)

Anyway, I'm not willing to split mine because they're matched, sorry.

Fella that's doing the conversion used to work for the V6 plant so should be sound advice.
Fair enough on the divider, thanks anyway :)
