When yours failed, was it on your mini facelift?

Yeah 1998 MV6. Generally the cars affected are VIN range "W10000001" onwards when they modified the ABS system.

Had this fault earlier in the year, cleaned the sensors first off, then the general concensus was the ABS ECU  shagged, still got the fault (who needs a speedo, saves switching the TC off every time you get in the car!)

Well it has been on 184K all this year  ;)


P.S. I will not sell this car, it will be run into the ground until un-ecnomical to maintain, then striped/scrapped

Well bit of an update it keeps flickering on and off every now and then speedo stops for about 5 secs so thinking maybe a dirty sensor hope 2 have a look this week if i get the time came on twice 2 day in 4 trips and once yesterday in 4 trips

Would a fault like this affect MOT?
