They are easy to remove, but are not really fixable.
To Remove:
Remove the air vents on the left of the dash, they just pull out with pliers, there are 2 screws behind it, take them out and remove the unit, there is one screw for the dash.
Remove the air vent on the right of the dash, the same way as the last one.
Remove the top piece of plasic cowling from the behind the sterring wheel, 2 screws, need to turn the steering wheel to access them, they are hiding under plastic covers. then there is a screw for the dash under that.
Then the dash should just pull out, there is no, speedo cable to worry about as its electronic, just a wire for the MID Dispaly, thats it the dash is out.
Now for repairing the MID, its not really servicable, but if it is just the odd pixel flashing , it might just need more pressure to the ribbon.
If you open up the unit, 4x plastic push clips, just take the back off. Then you will have to unsolder the 3 metal prongs for the time adjustment.
then the whole insides will come out, now if you look at where the ribbon is connected to the PCB, not the LCD end, on the white plastic box it is sitting on, there is a clear rubber band, you just need to put a tie clip or something similar underneath that, just to hold the ribbon to the board tighter, then re-assemble, and give it a try.
Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesent.... Made mine a bit better, but not perfect, but then I had about 30 pixels missing, more than were showing, and at least I can read it sort off, now.
Hope this helps, Thanks, Mark.
