A bit of history first.
4 years ago had a wishbone replaced as bushes had gone (I did drive with failed bushesfor quite some time - naughty I know, but at the time I thought it was just warped discs).
1 year ago (and about 15K later) had to have both wishbones replaced again as both bushes went (also my trusted mechanic said it looked like the previous garage had only replaced one wishbone - not the two they charged me for - as one looked new and one looked very much like the original). After the second round of replacement, i had full back and front re-alginement and the old tank ran like a dream for a while.
Today been to ATS because of excessive wear on left, and they checked alignment and then showed me on the ramp that both front tyres had excessive movement, and suggested that the bushes may be gone again (this is after less than 15K miles).
I will be taking it back to my trusted mechanic to see if the bushes have gone, but am loathed to throw yet more money on a 10year old if there is a bigger problem here.
BUT my question is that if it is the bushes again, what the heck could be going on, is there something else that needs looking at to point to whether the problem lies elsewhere.
So that maybe I can get the garage to check out anything else on the front end.
Any thoughts appreciated.
