The proper blue ones are HIDs, and not easy to (legally) retrofit.

You can get Xenon filled halogens which look the same, but are rubbish.

Has your got the old ribbed headlights, or the clear projector type.

They my man are the later projector type lamps. just fit 50% brighter  bulbs. you need 4 bulbs , 2 per lamp.

50% BRIGHTER BULBS?

wheres the best place to get them, and do they differ in "Quality"?

will i be able to see further on main beam?  ;)

does that include my fog lamps at the bottom (as in the picture)
so i need 4 bulbs then?

You have "projector" lights ,...  but NOT HID (High intensity) as you don't seem to have headlamp washers.

You'll need main beam bulbs (H7) and low beam (dipped beam) (H1) bulbs if you want to change them all

I get my bulbs from here :

Sidelights and Fogs not worth changing.  TBH, I always though main beam on Omegas was pretty reasonable  :-/

I buy mine from
http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk

Have only tried their own brand. Better than normal bulbs, but haven't compared them to Osram and Philips +50%

You'll get two pairs H1 plus blueish sidelights for £19.95 incl. shipping.

Hi
1998 Elite 2.5V6 Auto
Have xenon HIDs.
Have fitted - 2 x xenon filled H7s to main beam, 2 x xenon filled H1s to fogs and 2 x xenon filled sidelight bulbs.  Lighting now excellent but a bit blue.
I haven't got small hands and I managed to fit headlight & sidelight bulbs ok - just remove top side covers.  Easier on drivers side but more restricted on passenger side due to battery.  Just ensure H7s orientated correctly & they will go straight in (flat to top!).
Fogs - remove plastic grill - 2 torx screws, 1 top and 1 bottom, remove crosshead screw on side of fog light and release fog light - bulb removed from back (release spring clip first). Refit fog light ensuring located correctly on side opposite screw.
Hope this helps

Drivers side not too bad .. I popped the airfilter box out for better access.. passenger side not so good ... I ended up taking the battery right out, some folks say you can do it by loosening the battery and moving backwards .. but I have large hands and  it was easier in the end to take the darned thing out !!

If you loosen the bat terminal, then turn on the ignition, then turn off ignition and remove the bet terminal within 15secs the alarm will not go off.
