ONG - if you check my receipt from VX you can see that they did use Sealant  :y
and IF these Omegas keep leaking at such short mileage span, i will sell the bloody thing as quick as i can!
these cars seem to be plagued with problems and i dont need the aggro of it all!

tbh, the cam covers aren't troublesome if fitted correctly - thats why yours lasted 9yrs.

problem lies in mechanics (Vx included) don't know how to do it properly.

i guess your right mate, but i do have 12 months parts warranty on all the bits fitted, and also 3 months warranty on ALL labour done, i also met with the mechanic and he wasnt no spotty teenager, i have faith he was an Experienced mechanic, plus he used to own an Omega.........so fingers crossed ey?

IF the rockers go again, i will be back there as fast as you can say "£765!!!!!!!!!!!"   >:(

im getting me door trim done tomorrow, another £90 including labour and the new trim

then, its fix the "check strap" as my drivers door wont stay open, and then sort the "attenuator" out,
be nice to have "air con" thats cold and a heater that can be turnt up and down without staying cold!
after all this mere cosmetic stuff is done, im sorted  :y

anyone know how much some touch up "champagne gold" paint is for my car?
i have a few bits i want to try and touch up if poss

The actuator we need to check. Hopefully just a vac pipe incorrect.

Has anyone got a spare, just in case, save stripping the glovebox out yet again?

For the paint, go to dealer with a TC card ;) - there is more than 1 Champagne Gold, so they match the paint code.  For instance, my MV6 is Star Silver (when clean ;D), and there are about 30 different shades of Star Silver. My paint code is Z147, this guarantees a near match (fading etc excluded).

Your paint code is on your VIN sticker on your drivers B post.

Sorry, my apologies.

Open drivers door. Look on pillar between drivers door and rear door - the B post - and there is a black sticker. Thats the VIN stick :y

i only need a little bit of "touch up" paint, do they come in the pen type dispenser which you can do small bits with?
i think they sell similar in Halfords, or does it come in proper tins of paint?

Had my rear door trim done today at Vauxhall in Kidlington in Oxford, cheaper than i was told (which was nice)
maybe they felt bad after scamming me last week?  ha ha ha ha
cost me £85

anyway, i got home and had a letter from Vauxhall in Benson in Oxford
i had asked them to "quote" me for a repair on my drivers door checkstrap, basically my door wont stay open!
TB has seen it, bloody nightmare!

ready for this?    £221.39 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they said i needed all this

PARTS / PANELS REQUIRING REMOVAL

O.S.F DOOR PLATES
SCREWS X 4
O.S.F DOOR CHECK
DOOR FOILS

PARTS / PANELS REQUIRING REPAIR

O.S.F DOOR CHECK

ASSOCIATED WORK REQUIRED

REPAIR O.S.F DOOR CHECK

PARTS / PANELS REQUIRING PAINTING

INNER O.S.F DOOR CHECK  (PAINT 50%)

ha ha ha ha ha

I rang them up and and asked IF they had sent me the WRONG quote, they said NOPE!

BUNCH OF ROBBING BASTARDS!!
