I bought one of these and it works fine on my 2.2 facelift..........read the codes and cleared them no trouble  :y

2.2 (and 2.6/3.2) is OBDII compliant, so generic OBDII readers will read the engine (only)

IF your lucky, I borrowed one and it couldnt read our 2000 2.2  :(

Update as promised :

This kit, as supplied can interrogate the 1999 ECU for data like vin etc. It does not read fault codes or do much else. It does not work with the hurdy gurdy software.

However it works fine with our 2001 scenic, allowing code reads and resets as well as real time data monitoring. I also used it to reset the airbag light on the outlaws fiesta (53)

I also bought the same sellers 'Tech 2' which I am awaiting delivery of.

As expected.

The Tech2 will 'work' (the software can be troublesome) if you have a real com port....
