« on: 17 March 2008, 18:07:56 »

Hi
i hawe yust repair my Cam Cover Gasket and take to clean my injectiors nad now when everithing is put together my average consumption on comp is going wild. when i'm driving is going dovn to regular but when i stop ir goes up about 0,1 l/100 km (eu) everi 2 sec and it keeps on going until i start to drive again. this was not hapening before but before my consumption was to huge and thats a reason for cleaning my injectors.
Now it's going to 14,2 l/100 when im driving in city what is OK (that's what it was before) but before my average didn't go up or down when car was stedy (when is stedy than is 1,1 /h) becouse i asume that comp cant calculate it when i'm not driving)

And what are those numbers taht shows on display when i hold both buttons for about few sec?

Agreed.

its 1 thng hvng 2 cop wv txt spk

and one another thing to cope with english not good also.

byt impssiblr to copr with finfers too fast on teh kerbord as wekl.

Please make accurate typing when you are asking a question. You will have much more reply.

Consumption is tested using vacuum in your inlet. I think you have a leak after your repair.

I'm sorry but he/she is posting on an english board. We have lots of members from diverse places and we are happy too help them all. While it may be politically incorrect to comment on it - it was damn hard to get the meaning out of the post to get a sensible reply.

I stand by the first two posts on this one.

Hi

I have just repaired my Cam Cover Gasket and cleaned my injectors. Now that everything is back together, my average consumption on the computer is going wild

When I'm driving (moving) the reading is going down to a regular reasonable level, but when I stop it goes up to about 0,1 l/100 km (eu) every 2 seconds and it keeps on doing that until I start to drive again.

This was not happening before, but before my consumption was bad and that's the reason for cleaning my injectors in the 1st place.

Now it's going to 14,2 l/100 when I'm driving in the city which is OK (that's what it was before), but before my average didn't go up or down when car was steady (when it is steady then it is 1.1 l/h at 600 rpm) because I assume that the computer can't calculate avg km/l when i'm not moving)

And what are those numbers that show on the display when I hold down both buttons for a few seconds?

Looking at the above attampt at my interpretation I'd say he was idling a little fast too?

I'd be inclined to offer a little patience, we have the luxury of having the ability to have English as the "common language".

I bet his German isn't much cop, but then I bet neither is any of ours.

I also would hazard a guess that there aren't many Croatian Omega sites.

I personally think that his English (whilst admittedly in need of some work) is better than most of our attempts at a 2nd language, especially written.

He's been pretty brave really and we should respect that if we can. :y

I hope that my attempt is close to his inital meaning and that someone can help him.

Thanks for the translation, you did a better job than me...

Back to the leak in the inlet somewhere I think. Especially considering the work done would have disturbed it.
