You could simply stick a spare V6 into a Lotus-7. That would awesome ::)!!!

Just to put things in perspective here's my two pence worth.

I think there's nothing better than to hear a well tuned engine or a V6/V8 gurgling away or producing a great sound track at high revs but there has to be control as to how much noise they produce. Can you imagine what it would be like to have thousands of cars howling away if you lived anywhere near a road. So, have a car that makes a great sound but within reason.

On the other hand, in motor racing at a proper racing cicuit, the louder the better. It's one of the reasons I love motorsport so much. :y

As said, it's all about getting things into perspective. :y

Why not try fitting one to your BBQ for the lakes Bob :y...might help cook the food quicker ;D

yep, not sure i'd want an A10 living next door to me and starting up early a.m. in our little close. Ok, i would, but your right of course, its a bit selfish really.
Must be a way to have it nice and quiet low revs and Ascari A10 from say, above 5000 rpm? Anyone?

Induction side is fine, any messing is at risk of hot air intake or getting water in from puddles.

What you really want are tubular exhaust manifolds and a large bore exhaust - rather than a noisy intake

Well guys tried the drilling loads of holes in the box theory and guess wat?? It bloody worked a treat!!! Low revs not much sound which is good as the garda wont be like eh wats all this then but when u plant the shoe oh mercy its nice!! Even nicer than an induction cone which was a tad chavvy!!! Its just a subtle v6 roar!!! Thanks 4 the replies lads was worth the question :) ::)

I always hate the association between modded cars and chavs... Does my head in!

Im about as far from a chav as I can be... I hate them!

But because I have a cone filter on my car, it makes automatically makes me a chav? What will I be when I change the exhaust then? A SUPER Chav?  :-X

Whatever everyone's opinion --- you got the effect you were after -- that can't be bad, can it ?
