Ive only just got in tonight....to try to gain back wasted time this morning.

Had my drivers door window smashed last night......thats the 2nd time in about a year  

Glass was crazy paved with a hole the size of a tennis ball in the middle.
So obviously just smashed for fun  

Must give praise to RAC windscreens......they didnt have a window in stock (no one else seems to either)
but did vacuum out broken glass and taped in a piece of perpex   Something other companies wont do....as they claim its not safe as theres no vertical channel on an Omega front window.

New window should be in stock and be able to be fitted next tues/wed  

Insurance company must be loving me.......2 door windows and a new windscreen all in about a year!

Bad luck mate, but.......I saw a volvo S60 today and someone had done a proper job on it. Two windows broke and both sides keyed front to rear. Sick making

Sorry to hear this, there seems to be a lot of "kids with no fathers" about these days.

Maybe slight overkill, but you can easily video your car with a cheap camcorder, plugged into a laptop via firewire. After I got my door mirror destroyed, next day I set this up overlooking the car. Most modern machines have enough hard drive to take 12hrs recording, and its in fairly good quality. Some camcorders like panasonic NV-DS30 have got a night time 0Lux mode and can literally see in the dark.

From what i was told from a neighbour......he heard a group of kids laughing then running away at about 1am.....my car was parked right outside his house....he said he was still up and looked outa the window.....but saw nothing...as it was dark.....apparantly my alarm went off about 10 mins later   he only put 2 and 2 together when he heard about the window today.

So probably pissed kids on the way home  

Im not suprised they get served drink.....this happened on my home....

Stopped at local co-op for ciggies and a bottle of wine (well it is a fri night   )
Kiddie in front of me has a 12 pack of Stella.....girlie on till asks for ID.....he produces something dodgy looking.....girlie accepts it.....then he asks for 20 ciggies.....so as hes got away with the ID......she has to serve him ciggies  

I get served......and girlie.....shouts over to supervisor....'alcohol'.......so shes sussed im over 18!!  
But she carnt be if she just asked supervisors permission to sell it.......

So why didnt she ask supervisors permission for the previous customer

A couple of months ago, had what should have been "abortions " go through our street at 2.45 in the morning and smashed and ripped of the wing mirrors of 17 cars. Called police, and at that time of the morning, said " We will send an officer down straight away " Stayed up till 7.00 no police, went to bed. Neighbour called later to find out where they were, they apologised and said they will give a crime number. My neighbour said they will have to give 17 crime numbers, copper replied, somebody will be with you within an hour. 3hrs later a WPC turned up took details and stated it was unlikely we'll catch them. Neighbour said to her, next time we'll sort it out ourselves. You can't do that, you'll be arrested she replied.
That night within a few minutes, there was a couple of grands worth of damage done. So what do we do?. Keep paying our council taxes for the police to protect us and uphold the law. I say birch the scum and to hell with their human rights.
