Tracking is useless after a wishbone change ...  it is the CAMBER that needs resetting, and if not done properly you'll wreck a set of tires in a few thousand miles.

Autovaux said they were .. and AFAIR it said so on the packaging.. might even have it on the wishbones but I can't remember...

After we changed my wishbones on the Estate, Kevin W and myself set up the camber, using a spirit level at a sensible guestimate.......  ::)

.... and before anyone criticises....

... It then went to WIM for a checkup - to which the camber was spot on ;D ;D

All that was adjusted at WIM, was the tracking (toe).

there are a couple of ways to measure or replicate the camber setting, but are we that certain of thier accuracy that we dont need to to check and confirm the correct setting?

I would recommend a check every time, obviously - it was just somewhat amusing we got it spot on  :y

Yes, is possible to get camber bang on with spirit level.  But thrust angle is the first thing to get right, then base the other settings around that setting.  What about kingpin inc?  Its simply not possible to get the car right without specialist equip, and a tech who understands it, hence WIM always do mine.

You was lucky :y - bit like doing a v6 cambelt without locking kit ;)

can you clarify the push fit Martin? would imply the bush is not fixed in the wishbone, i'm having trouble seeing how that wont ware excessively. ;)

That sounds like a bit of a mission and you must have had a spare set of wishbones?
