ANOTHER Road Traffic accident
« on: 17 January 2008, 20:27:54 »

Today, whist waiting at a roundabout (following a dual carriageway) for a gap in the traffic, I was shocked when I heard an almighty bang, was thrown forwards in my seat, and restrained by my seat belt.

A chinese lady in a Fiat Punto, had approached the roundabout from the dual carriageway far too fast, lost control and skidded into the rear of me whilst I was waiting at the roundabout.

Thankfully no more than minor injuries, and a sore back/neck in my case.

But..but.... My Omega...  :-X  :'( :'( :'(.

i have never known anyone to have luck like yours mate, sorry to hear about it....

Others will say it but i would recommend getting down the docs, not as a prelude to a compo claim, just to make sure that someone 'in the trade' is happy you are ok.

You're Ok, that's the important, the car ca be repaired/replaced

Fair comment, but I've never had a fault accident. I have little control what people behind me are doing while I'm waiting at a roundabout ;)

I'm absolutely fine - there will be more news on the car tomorrow

some people go through life like that, always on the receiving end, its not much consolation though.

Warm bath to help the muscles, seriously if you have pain in the morning you should see a doc

god i sound like i'm nagging  :-[

At the end of the day, I'm VERY lucky.

It's the people that don't walk out of the car, that are unlucky...

Glad you are OK.....  These things are getting to be a habit....   :D

I would still consider the docs tomorrow as normally takes 24 hours for whiplash etc to become apparent.

Start full doses of Ibuprofen now, you WILL be stiff in the morning.
