I`m actually half way through fitting cruise to my `99 (T reg.)....it began with my dip/turn signal stalk going belly-up so that the headlights wouldn`t stay on dip....so, as I`d read the 'how-to' in the forum maintenance guide I thought the stalk change would be the perfect excuse to get 'cruised'

The stalk (bought off forum member) is a 20 minute job to change.....and the 4 pin brake switch (new from Vx. £17.) a further 15 mins of work, cursing under the driver`s footwell.
Assuming your car is an auto you wont need a cruise clutch-pedal switch, if it`s manual-box then you will have to get one.
ALL the wiring is already in place....so it`s
plug-and-play.
The cruise actuator (also bought S/H off a forum member) is my next job to fit.....not tricky at all but will require some work-arounds as I have a secondary water circ. pump to remove/remount (also covered in the 'how-to').....The whole job could easily be completed in an afternoon....as far as I`m aware no need at all for Tech 2.
The later cars that are FBW; without a conventional throttle 'cable', do require only a cruise stalk to be bought/fitted (no cruise actuator reqd.) but do require Tech 2 enablement.
So, your first port of call is to read the
Cruise How To in the maintenance guide, then ask on the forum for the S/H bits needed and be sure to avoid the scrap yard that
TMX MV6 frequents!

Any probs. with the project Martin and the forum is always here to help.
