£400!!!

Surely not.

Camcovers, £55.

Seat - probably a connection (was working before) - Free

Handbrake fix for MOT - Free (I'll send you some brand new shoes)

Clunk? Sounds like a new problem, but most likely where you hit that nasty bump. Probably droplinks at £20 pair.

Aux tensioner I agree has had it - £26.

Matrix - reverse flush it, get some forte. £5?

Multirams, all you need is a couple of Vacc hoses to make them work.

Max has an arial he can give you?

And the bulbs, rear washer, etc, allow maybe £15. Scrappy?

That puts the price to fix the niggles at a much more realistic £121.

You worry toooo much :y

3.0:
MOT £50
Tax £100
Cam covers i though were £75? including sealant.
wipers all around £30
needs some mats, £30
Monthly insurance £80
heated seat is fubar checked connections
Handbrake prob needs new shoes and pads at the back
exhaust within the year looking at the state/noise of it.
ATF will need changing the stuff that escaped looked very brown. another £50.

2.2 needs tax as well, so thats another £100, needs an oil change, fuel filter which all adds up.

I cannot justify that money for it, not when the 2.2 is in far better shape, and its a better drive.

The Tax / MOT don't really come into the fixing niggles catagory.. so I think you're probably being a bit harsh on the car - it seems any Omega (incl my facelift) need these jobs doing now and again.

I spent £500 on mine last week  :'(

While I think you may be worrying too much about the car, I do understand your reasons from a financial perspective though. Running two is not a viable option... :y

The 2.2 just needs basics, and i will keep that going for now. I need to save for a house... and the odd £200/£300 there adds up after a while!

Sure does....

The offer of some help with a couple of the bits is still there, if you need it - even if only to make it more sellable...

I suspect that the heat and multiram operation are related given that they both operate off vaccum.

If your selling it would wouldn't tax or insure it but, everything working and with 12 months MOT makes a big difference.

I reacon the 100ish quid to fix and MOT you would get 3 fold...

Only because I fancied a facelift one - not because I thought you would have any issues with it (other than the known niggles)  :'(

think you deserve a negative feedback from whoever buys this
nothing mentioned about all these faults you know about???
they may well be easy fixes but also may well be expensive i.e matrix if needed

While obviously good practice to list everything you know about - don't forget that legally the seller has no responsibility to point out anything, and the buyer is 100% responsible for making their own assessment prior to bidding or entering into a transaction...

Wrong information in a listing can result in comeback for a seller, but lack of information cannot...

Having owned and worked on the car, Tunnie's description is fine IMO.

could i just ask why the Rear view mirror is in the passenger footwell??

nosey....   wife has decreed I cannot buy it back....   not even for 50p although I feel that's rather unfair , she has pointed me at the Sintra, and our bank balance, followed closely by some disparaging comments like

"you already spend more time with the car than with me...  " which I reckon is unfair, I'm only driving to work....  :(

As JamesV6 on that one, he brutially snapped it off before giving it to me!

Its back on now!  :)

Maybe she'd like to offer to give you a piggy-back to work, thus redressing the balance.  ;D
