the BBC did NOT make him look like a half pillock, half tosspot....  he IS a pillock and a tosspot..... so it's entirely self inflicted .

the BBC try very hard (too damn hard if you ask me)  to be even handed to all parties....     it's hardly their fault if the majority of people in the arena, but outside the main 3 (and even many inside them) are self deluded , munchkin shagging, certifiable nut-jobs....

not being fascist does not mean being biased to the left.

as a corporation, it strikes the best balance it can, often over compensating for the fact that the vast majority of employees are liberal of mind...   ,and politically aware.     (meaning the vast majority are lib-dem voters,  or , green party,  ukip, or at least not hard left labour ,  although i suspect that many of the Lib-dem voters will be re-assessing their loyalties for the future....  i know i sure as hell am....   )

but then i suppose i'm biased.... as an ex BBC bod.

i find it irritating when people go slagging it off with no foundation in truth at all, and no understanding of how it works....    (the fact that it works at all is a miracle in itself....    since the accountants got power in the late 80's early 90's....  )

I have heard this a lot.

Why?

Who would you support instead?

For the LD I think it is damned if they do damned if they don't. I will admit I am more anti Labour than pro any other party. And also I tend to favour less interfearance in our lives (eg hate all the banning, ID cards and other rubbish).

LD and Cons were actually in a very similar place over civil liberties, both parties now in government are trying to give us them back.

Better than vote Labour because your dad did.

They would even vote a donkey in with a red rosette.

Limpdems are more left wing than Liebore, and live in a little green bubble somwhere near Notting Hill, utterly disconnected from the real world. Their utterances and  proclamations on the economy/business/energy/man made climate change/EU etc, would be laughed out of the average 6th form debating society.
Clegg/Huhne/Cable/Hughes etc are are certifiable idiots. ::)

I definately class Huhne as one, Clegg is OK, I did like the old leader who liked a drink - he was a real person.
