Trouble with those trims I've not found many that work with twin pipes, also prone to falling off.

I like idea of the pipes being cut back, and stainless twin pipes welded on, will look close to the genuine & be solid.

Be a lot cheaper if i had a welder & knew how to use it 

I kept the stainless ends from my original exhaust with that in mind, but then found some trims that were pretty much identical, and it saved polishing up the old trims.

Ok, one of them has fallen off due to a dodgy jubilee clip  but I caught it before it got lost.

Theboy has a welder and it'd be the ideal "learning" job, IMHO.

Any 'motorway drone' at all?

The best way that I can describe it is once the accelerating 'load' has been achieved and the car is rolling at comfortable speed, the level of 'boom' goes. Jetex are not noisy pipes. There is no 'drone' on normal roads or motorway and the level of boom when accelerating is more than acceptable. On previous cars I've had stainless exhausts from the likes of Powerflow and on a long journey they get on your wick. Jetex on the Omega is definately not like that. At normal cruising speed you would not notice much difference. Any boom is limited to acceleration only. On tickover, you would not know any difference as it is quiet.

James (Twiglet) heard it ticking over and revving at Billing and I got the impression that he thought it was too quiet for a 'sport' exhaust. I think he expected a growling monster and was sadly disappointed. 

Pity we are not nearer to each other so that you could hear for yourself.

I missed a previous post where you were enquiring about a Jetex system. Sorry about that.    Our paths nearly crossed at the Wycombe meet when you had just aquired your estate. My car was super polished and I was about to leave for Wycombe when it started to rain. As my car was spotless, I sulked and stayed at home. Really regret that now as it turned out a great venue.

No worries Alan... There's nowt wrong with my exhaust at the moment, apart from the fact it's an aftermarket system so a bit "Droney", so it's low down the list of priorities

Of course, the plans could all change if I ever manage to find a full Irmscher kit for it

Jimbob - I bet Eternal haven't stopped supplying Estates, its likely they are just currently out of stock.  They are normally unable to tell you when stock is arriving.

I have an Eternal on the MV6, coming up to 2 years old, absolutely delighted with it for the money. The number of Omegas that turn up here, and to meets, with droning exhausts due to the tat that the likes of Timex/Walker churn out....   ....and I couldn't live with that drone, its tiring and nausiating.

The Eternal ones, IME, are every bit as good/better than the current GM ones. And at around £120 delivered, is a no brainer.

If you can patch yours up until Eternal get in the ones you want (normally 2 or 3 week wait max IME), I don't think you'll regret it. Hellfrauds do some great shite for bodging exhausts, as I'm sure tunnie will confirm (as long as its not the pipe coming adrift from the boxes). If you need the details, I'll go to garage to check what it is...

Have just bought 2 estate centre sections for 3.2 estate from eternalcar,£27 each plus 16 postage.Already had a rear box.Nice clamshell design and just as good as the factory fit.You may need to call them or email your enquiry.

Also have 2 3.2 saloons with the full eternalcar system now for over 2 years and excellent results so would highly recommend.
