As we discussed at the weekend, the Astra is a nice motor. Not overly "involving" as a drive but I couldn't get her company one to let go, even in the wet :y
Clearly not trying. Astra-H will, like the Astra-G before, understeer without too much provocation in the dry, and has 'exciting' lift-off oversteer.

Must try an Astra-J, not driven one yet.
I was trying, in the wet, and the TC was working hard ;)

I was more interested in whether she'd get into trouble, not whether it would actually do it ;) ;)

I repeat, clearly not trying being far too sensible. Commendable, if somewhat girly :P

Only interested in whether she's going to get in a muddle pushing it too hard... Not my car and I rarely drove it ;) ;)

And I found her CDTi very frugal too, although it was the less powerful one and a manual. I'd certainly consider another in the future :y

Try the J, quite a revelation compared to the H

Went to the launch of these. Vast improvement over the H. Being chucked round the handling circuit at Millbrook in the rain was quite an experience. 8)
Don't think they managed to stack one, and they were REALLY trying ::)

Think the Auto comes with the 160bhp diseaseal lump. :-\

We walked passed a blue VXR Astra tonight. Which she liked.  :y

One of these. With diamond cut wheels.

Skoda Fabia? :y

nice cars the fabia :y

I had the use of a Fabia 1.2 petrol for a week, last year. I was very impressed, the only thing it lacked, for me, was a bit more oomph!! I would assume a turbo-diesel would be quite nippy and very economical :y
