Possible. Maybe Tiffins is closed for refurbishment as well... ::)
I've not been in Tiffins for weeks :o

As for Sony, well, I am trying to be more calm about retards and inbreds.

If I'd only known. Mrs. KW and I very nearly gave you a shout on Friday night the week before last as we were passing on the M40. Way home from the Good Food show. We decided that we'd had too many freebies at the show to squeeze in a Ruby Murray, though. :(
I'm sure a man with your dedication and skill could have forced one down ;)

Looks like im getting one for Crimbo too  :y

Tho i have to get it and give it to my parents to wrap up.....as they have no idea what a kindle is  ::) ;D

Where's the best place to get one? Someone mentioned Argos....as they give you a £5 voucher, i think  :-\

Was me Dave - got one for one of my boys for Chrimbo. £89 from Argos and a £10 Argos voucher. :y I think they're around the same price everywhere for the wi-fi version.
Amazon's wholesale T&Cs forbid any discounting of Kindle (which is why they are all the same price everywhere), so its all about freebies.

Mrs TB's I bought from Amazon direct, despite I could have go it via topcashback on Tesco Direct, as I've heard good things about their aftersales on Kindles. Glad I did, as we've had to use aftersales after breaking it ::)

Utter 'dangle berries'. Of all the tripe you have ever come out with Rusty, that takes the biscuit.

Nothing comes even remotely close to the Kindle for how it performs. Nothing.

The crappy Sony immitation is heavy, cold, uncomfortable, poor battery life, and has a piss poor screen. And tied to their shitty software.

As to repair costs, again you talk 'dangle berries'. Yup, I've broken a screen. Didn't take kindly to my 14.5st sat on it with an aeroplane seatbelt between my arse and it. Amazon said maximum cost would be £79, no matter what the fault. As it happened, they repaired it for free.

Sony spares? They simply haven't sold enough of them for many to appear on egay.  Additionally, remember that the internet extends far beyond egay, believe it or not ;)

Cheers Bob  :y That seems to be the favourite place to get one then at the mo  :)

Tho....just checking on Argos website.....to get a £10 voucher you have to spend over £100.....over £50 for a £5 voucher  :-\ So is it an 'in-store' offer only  :-\

Why do you think it will break again?  Trust me, your beloved Sony shit won't last my arse pressing down on a small metal buckle, pressing against a screen.

Given Sony's previous experience with reliability on anything electrical in the last 10-12yrs, I suspect it will just stop working anyway.

That said, if its out of warranty, and I do sit on it with a buckle between my arse and the screen, and a screen is cheaper than Amazon's repair costs (£79), I'll happily replace it ;)

Now, I bet it it was Sony, they wouldn't have repaired it for free (I'm still waiting for a working repair on my crappy Sony telly, only been 9yrs ::))
