Mine was written off for a repair value of £4800.

Back on the road for £250 with an mot

Although later had two wheels refurbed and a new tyre.

Imo buy back(big lump of cash to you) and break the rest(even bigger lump of cash) if its a write off. ;)

Blimey  :o

Some serious damage there, surprised it went so far.

Wonder if an Omega bonnet would do the same if it was released at 50mph  :-\

Any bonnet would wrap itself round the windscreen and embed itself in the roof. Nothing will stop that much surface area with flow over it at 50MPH. That's why they have double locking catches.

Finally getting somewhere, due to be collected tomorrow now, so had a good clear out today, and a proper look around it in the daylight, glass inside absolutely everywhere, got in the passenger seat and kindly got a bit in the hand  >:( Even glass all by where the speedo is, how it got there I don't know. Lifted the bonnet to have a look to see if anything was obvious as to what had happened, couldn't see nothing at all, which was surprising.

Anyway, not pretty in the daylight:

Various bit which hit me in the head, upon the bonnet impact:

Glass everywhere:

Horrible stuff really  :(

Glass used to break into small chunks about 1/4" across, there were no shards then. OK you had to punch a hole to see, but.....     Is this progress ?

the dent on the roof is curled and a bad type to correct.. I dont think it can be repaired without any trace ( so needs paint imo).. :(

 hood definitely requires replacement ..

List of parts I've been told it'll need so far: Roof skin, bonnet, bonnet struts, catches, screen. If it'll be repaired (assessor arrives Monday) it won't be back before Christmas.

That's going to a fair few quid Del once labour and paint is added,I can see that ending up as a cat C :-\
