Never had too much trouble with batteries, apart from when the dozy mare, waiting outside the train station one night for me, thought you needed ign on II to listen to radio...
In my ownership, MV6 has had a single replacement about 4yrs ago (the day I ripped the sump plug off Tractor - I was on way back from dealer

), as it was still original. I think the lack of use that the MV6 used to get then had finally finished the original battery off.
The Elite's original battery is in the garage, on a reconditioner, as that started to sound a bit weak last Autumn (so I slapped the old one on from Goldie). The Elite's original is used to jump start the bike, which is a constant PITA to start - the battery sounds weak.
My Nova needed a new battery after being 'rediscovered' tidying out the garage, as it had sat for a couple of years.
Other than that, I have never replaced a battery on my cars, including the recently demised Rover, which we bought 12yrs/116k ago. Or my Acclaim, on original battery when I gave to Bro when it was about 12yrs old. And I tend to keep (most of) my cars a long time.
The ZX10, however, that is an utter pain. Might be worth considering AGM
