I took an ederly retired surgeon (88 he reckoned) to my local hospital the other day...

We had a nice chat on the way....as we approached the hospital.....he said to me....

In his day, a hospital was full of nurses/doctors and patients.....now its full of managers and administrators.....

I think he hit the nail on the head......

Sad, but true. And it seems impossible to get them to understand that patients come first, not targets and numbers. Unfortunately the previous govt. seemed to love targets and numbers.

I had one done in my right shoulder and that was by a GP, had a nursing appointment and they went and got a 'particular' Doc as it has to be done right...apparently..... :y :y

The fact that I'm still around is due to the fantastic service and treatment that I received from the NHS!!  :y :y :y

Just had my appt to see orphapeadic consultant for my injections who has referred me back to the ultrasound dept for my injections.I was there 3 weeks ago who referred me to this one who is now referring me back. The language that went in the chief executves ear when i went to see her after was not very pleasant. now more waiting yet again.

I have had 3 cortisone injections on my shoulder due to a skiing accident. It was done by my physio!
