Thats just it the seal looked ok. and it would explain why the new seal has made no difference what so ever.

What shall i do?

Now has two miggs in our house hold. Both 2.0ltr 16v lpg'd. a MFL and a FL.

There did appear to be scoring right up the TC nose though. :-/

Jase has taken it out tonight i will know defo at the weekend if it is ill do another level check. i am 80% sure it is ill have a look tomorrow when i finish work under the car for the usuall puddle.

sorry guys i have to go now to study and get some sleep have my explosives exam in the mornin :( ill be back online tomorrow.  :)

I really wish we'd had a more thorough look ourselves now. The diagnosis from the gearbox place sounded pretty conclusive but maybe he spotted the scoring and didn't look any further. >:(

It did look like the seal was the source though.
