PS I would also add that it has been an absolute delight to have a car again where, due to it's bang up to date full service record condition, I have not had to work on the car at all.  I have had not even had need to top up anything.  It is like having a brand new car again! 8) 8) 8) :y :y

It is a beautiful example of the marque, Lizzie. A stunning car. :y

However, were I the dealer, I'd have changed these items before the purchase. ::) ::) ::)

I'd have also sent you a large bunch of flowers and an intimate dinner invitation for two. :) :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

The offer still stands, Lizzie. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

What's the worst that could happen?...... ;)

It may seem strange TB, but thinking back I have rarely had to change brake pads.  Even with my high mileage business cars I found they lasted a lonnnnng time.  I have used engine braking extensively, and use a driving technique that means I need the brakes only up to half the time I see others using them judging by their brake lights showing them 'driving on their brakes'!! ::) ::) :y
Ah, clearly not trying hard enough then, Ms Zoom :P.

TB prescribes a good dosage of country lanes and some invigorating tunes ;D

Sorry chaps, but I'm still not convinced.

Ms.Zoom purchased a beautiful red 3.2 Elite from RB.

The car itself I have now had 6 months after buying from RB, and it is still working superbly with absolutely no problems.

Red Elite? Are there pics in the gallery?

No, but your wish is my command!

This is what you get when you buy a RB car, at 54k miles, full service history, etc, etc:

Great pictures, Lizzie.

I love the colour, too. So much better than the 'common as muck' star silver I have to put up with on my MV6.

What shade of Vauxhall red is it?..... :) :-* :-*

Perhaps the artist Peter Paul was partial to this very colour. :y :-*

I'd be scared to drive that, Lizzie, in case anyone hit it. Insurance companies think they can pay absolute peanuts for a claim on an omega.

but I decided to replace, and whilst at it the discs as well as a kit, so I know they will last for the next x years ahead.
Ms Zoom, share with me your secret to brake longevity :o ;D

Glad you are still liking the car :)

As KW/TA say, RB may charge premium prices, but you get a premium service (for a used car dealer). I would add, in my dealings with our very own JoshWyatt, the after sales has been nothing but excellent...  ...although he refused to pay for the repairs after it melted last July ;D

The only reason why people sell cars on egay is due to either laziness (so how lazy have they been with the car) or due to no chance of comeback (so what are they hiding). So you can't compared used car businesses, who have responsibilities, with egay.

That isnt the way peeps are taught to drive these days.....use the brakes instead...the thinking behind this is because pads are cheaper to replace than clutches/gearboxes.  :)

Insurers valued omegas at about 3k top whack just over a year ago. So there's a clue on values as well I guess.

Nice car Lizzie but for the Irmschers there is really no other colour but Star Silver for best effect.
