I just assumed that when Baza said 'the original DS' he meant 'that original shape' to differentiate between the classic DS and the newer models ie: there are new DS models now. Much like Viva, 500, Mini, etc...

'Ooh, BMW should do a 1275GT like they did on the original Mini' well, no, technically the 1275 GT came out ten years after the 'original' mini, but we'd all know what was meant by that statement.

So after we've all retrofitted DRLs and LED lamps, we've got to make our fog lights come on when we turn a bit? So people know that the turning car is in fact turning? Ugh! Sounds like the Homer Simpson 'Everything is OK Alarm' to me... look it up  :)

A pale shadow of the 1275 cc Mini Cooper S. :-\

About 20 BHP short if memory serves.

And all in a bid to save giving royalties to Cooper, as well. Tightfisted lot BL were! (unlike modern benevolent car companies who never lie about emissions, of course  ;D)

Oi.....you lot.....this is supposed to be about my Renault, not your wet dreams. ;D

haha. They do look interesting, haven't had a look round one properly yet. Found any other bizarre modern design elements / things missing?

Sorry AndyB should have been clearer in meaning of "original DS"but it was one of the reasons I put '60's/'70's and not '50's.I know the swivelling lamps came in when they went to faired in quad lamps, but it was basically original shape as opposed to these modern day DS's.

Why when I say I'm not taking the piss do people naturally assume I'm 'taking the piss'? :)

Truth be known we are all jealous of Steve's new car and it's ability to separate young women from their knickers. :)

Taking the piss? :)

Or not taking the piss? :)

I recently looked at the Kadjar as a replacement for the poorly Mig. Think you may just have brought  me to my senses Stemo.  :-[ Gone for the Honda CRV instead

Need a taller access car now for my daughter so ordered a brand new one on the motability scheme  and the mig isn't worth fixing for what I can realistically get for it. Shame as its been a great car for the six years I've owned it

Take no notice of the old farts on here, the CRV is a great choice  :y

Rather too expensive for me, though. :o
