you need to get this to specalist, there could be chassis damage.

Even a 5mph crunch can bend the chassis.

Looking at that damage, an insurance company would write that off  :(

When i pragged into a Vw Passat, i put a small dent in the wing and a small crack in the bumper and light, nothing on that scale, insurance bill was £2,500!!!

Sorry to say thats a write off if you go though insurance.

Looking at that gap in the door - wing pannel, i would be very worried about chassis damage.

Get this to a specalist....

The chassis appears OK as the arch doesn't line up with the wing, and also the chassis was not hit, the hit was on an unsupported section of the bumper, and the chassis cross member narely moved.

WIll be getting it assessed next week.

As to replacements all well over £2000 for anything similar on AT

The wing is designed to do that in a corner impact, it absorbs the energy. the mounting points are also slotted so that the wing can be adjusted for panel gap thus the wing has a degree of movement when it meets something hard! Chassis issues at the front usually affect the A post.

Agree the chassis should be checked though.

Any car that goes to an accident repair centre will have the bill ramped up i'm afraid, easy money for the repair centres.

It looks like a reasonable bolt on repair to me.  The only thing that gives me slight concern is the movement of the front of the nearside wing at the battery.  Given the shape of the bonnett, when thats pushed over it will also push that wing.

Is there any crease in the slam panel or is it simply pushed in a bit at the impact side?

I have seen good el cheapo straightening jobs done with a bottle jack and a couple of lumps of timber....

I would think that it would look presentable with second hand panels from the various breakers on here, without too much work.  Going through your insurance would hurt quite a bit financially, between one thing and another.....

While I've been hunting for a facelift MV6 bumper i've found most dismantlers will only sell the front end panels together (two wings, bumper, bonnet), at least that way you should get a good colour match.

Megavaux have a star silver car in at the moment:- http://www.megavaux.co.uk/Vehicle.aspx?Reg=FH51PYU

Perhaps the battery is just moved forwards a bit more than normal.

The cable on mine runs under the black plastic shrouds.

Not the original battery, so possibly shifted.

Cables are fridge, amp & LPG kit

Not had any experience with insurance payouts, but it depends how closely the follow the market.

We all know Omega's are practically worthless, 2k would get you a very late facelift Elite.

Cables are fridge,  ....

How come you didn't use the cable already in the boot with the trailer connection?

Used it for the 6 way relay - I didn't think it was thick enough
