Passed my test in (ahem!) 1976, on a borrowed Honda CB? twin (but for the life of me: can`t remember which).........then straight onto a Suzuki GT 750 'kettle'.....then a Suzuki GS750.....a Seeley-Honda CB 750.....Laverda Jota.....Ducati 900 SS Darmah....and finally a Moto Guzzi 1000 Spada.
I still miss 'biking' on summer`s days. ;)

Some great bikes you have owned Debs.
Suzuki GS750.....First Suzuki four stroke ..(I think.)
Laverda Jota....Three cylinder Italian Superbike...A legend.
Ducati Darmah....Fantastic Italian V-twin...not too sure about Italian electrics of that era though.

P.S I'll bet your GT 750 kettle had a three into one spanny on it. :y :y

A mate of mine is going to be selling both his road bikes soon to fund his racing. the first is a Laverda Jota, the 2nd a Honda special, which started life as a 1977 cb750, but has a tuned engine and a special frame and body work which I think was by Seeley. :y

Were you part of the mod revival then?

Used to see swarms of them in 1979-81

Oh yes :)

I had many Lambretta's and Vespa's over the years but when I started to commute between Chester and Manchester, I bought A 250N Superdream :-[
