I was never a fan of Jade Goody...........quite the opposite in fact.............but I think she lived her final days............with a dignity  .............and above all acceptance....that I found surprising.

while i feel sad for her family etc, i have to say, i thought it turned into a media circus over the past few weeks and she should have backed out of the public eye. her children wont thank her for the attention and they will be forever know as those poor children of jade goody, i never liked her and thought she was thick as two short planks, but i do feel for her kids, in this day and age no one should die of cancer ffs, the pharmasutical giants are probably sitting on a cure for this diseas, but if they let if out then they would lose billions of pounds/dollars etc, it reminds mme of a scene in star trek the voyage home, mcCoy is passing a patient in a hospital inthe 1980's, he ask what up with you, the patient replied, i have cancer, mCcoy says, dear god! gives her a pill and promptly cures her and tell her to see him in the morning, this ill patient gets up and amazes the hospital staff, McCoy simply walks away. this scene struck a note with me as a couple of years before my mum died of the big C.
its always about money, no matter if you are the patient or the curer :-/

Having lost two people I love to cancer, and almost losing my mother the same way, I can only feel great empathy with Jade's family and can imagine what they are going through. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Jade has gone to a far better place where any mortal shortcomings, as we all have, will be washed in a brilliant light of eternal love and peace with God.

But it is her family I weep for, on this of all days, they have lost their loved one, in the case of the children, their mother. :'( :'( :'( :'(  May we all pray that they some how start to come to terms with their grief, as we all have to during our lives, and move on. :'( :'( :'(

God bless :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Without wanting to start a religious debate .... He gave mankind free will, to (hopefully) learn from our mistakes. Unfortunately, we don't seem to good at learning !!!!

However, this is straying off topic.

I feel bad for her 2 boys but FFS enough is enough! For the past 3 or 4 months it's been nothing but Jade this and Jade that! In a way I'm glad she's gone now so this media circus can come to an end and normal programming can resume.

I think the "Media Circus" comments are a bit harsh... She was just trying to raise awareness of a killer she knew so little about and has already saved countless lives by bringing Cervical Cancer to the front of many young women's minds.

On top of that she has successfully left behind enough money that her children will get a life and education she couldn't... Good for her! :y :y :y

I couldn't agree more! As somone who is litrally affected by the "media circus" (the press camped outside her house where we normally walk the dog and the road has been blocked for weeks!) Then I have nothing but respect for her and the way she has used the media hype to generate as much money as possible to ensure her childrens future!

It may annoy some that certian TV stations and newspapers have had non stop coverage but just bare in mind that it is precisely that non stop coverage that has now paid to give her boys the best start in life  possible!

Hardly strong at all! I'm not arguing that she didn't bring cervical cancer to the fore but it's just gone on and on and on! This time next month I'll guarantee she won't be mentioned once and I, for one, am looking forward to it.

I know what you mean ... but that is just life in the media --- if it didn't sell they wouldn't bother. Next month someone or something else will be flavour of the month!!!

Just be grateful we don't have to live with the American Presidential Election Circus !!!!  And wait til ours starts next spring ( actually I can't wait !!)  ::)

At the end of the day she played the media to the advantage of public awareness and for the future of her kids.

And fair play to her, I'm glad it worked and her children will be well looked after. I'm just about overdosed on it though! No matter where/what you are/look at there she is. I'm not going to type any more on this subject, as they say where SWMBO comes from 'Dun wi'!
