i've done about a dozen or more heads on v6 engines and its quite rare for the gaskets to fail by them selfs (normal to over heat and warp the heads) its very common for the oil cooler plate to corrode and leak as there is no gasket here just grey sealer or the bridge seals to leak. hope this is helpful for you

Already checked cooler plate, maybe tiniest weep, but main leak is corner of engine, just below exhaust manifold

HG was changed at Telford... all seemed ok afterwards.

I didn't actually do much for a change - other than annoy Mark ;D

Yup, now more watertight than a ducks backside.

The HG didn't look to be in bad condition, which left me concerned it wasn't the issue, but it certainly is resolved now :D

When pressured up, the leaks around stat and cooler plate were virtually non existent. Very small weep around shagged dowty.  But nothing to explain the 1 - 2 drips per second from that back corner.

So, must have been something in that area - you said core plug was looking OK, so had to be HG, unless there is a problem with head allowing coolant to weep out from, for eg, exhaust stud?  Have to looked at heads yet?
