Like something off carry on films
« on: 19 March 2008, 18:31:24 »

Cannot believe my rather luck.

Driving to work this morning at about 8.30, going past our local junior school and from a drive was a red Fiesta reversing into the road, the driver did not look, straight out into the road, i hits the brakes and gives him a toot.

He stops his car, gets out and starts to walk towards me, for breaks sake i thinks here we go, the bloke is about 6 foot....between the eyes ;D ;D. I am sat there now just got over my frozen shoulder but it was still a bit painful.

My drivers window is down, he leans in and grabs my collar shouting what is my problem...at that point my problem was my rather seat belt around my neck, do you think i could rather undo it...no, my arm is giving me a bit of Jip.......anyway i manages to remove the seat belt and get out the car....by now i am steaming and seeing red..there is a rather crowd gathering.......as i get out he throws one at me, cops me right in the rather jaw.........break that hurt.....i leaps on him...lands a few on him and sat on top of him telling him to calm down, next thing something hits me on the back...rather hell now that did hurt. looks up and its a 70 odd year old rather lolly pop woman who Tw"ts me with her lolly pop sign. she shouting get off him you bully, leave him alone. i am trying to tell her i am sitting on him to calm him down as he is like a raging bull........break that she thinks, and tw"ts me again on the head.........by now someone had called the police, they arrive, hand cuff me and this gorilla, we get taken to the local cop shop, we both have blood on our faces, mine is from a wopping gash on the head where the lolly pop woman hits me, we both gets a caution and they run me to the hospital..i have 10 rather stitches in my head and another breaked up shoulder.

The police then say do i wish to press charges on the 70 odd year old rather woman and the bloke, obviousley i did not and it was left at that. the bloke has apologised and that is that.

It was like something off a carry on film..........I gets to work at midday only to find i had left my rather lap top at home with all my work on it. i had a meeting at 12.30 and had to present from memory.. disaster of a day.

Jesus and I thought I had a bad day.

There's far too much stress thrown about on our roads; so much attitude - usually from the party who is totally in the wrong :( What does it take to put your hand up and say "Sorry, I ballsed that right up!"

Couldn't help but smile they way you tell it though  ;D

i must admit 90% of my day is shouting at incompetent drivers, ive learnt my lesson in the past about sitting in the car and waiting for the other "party" to walk over, as i let a guy walk over to me a few years ago and stayed seated he pushed me in the head,  and as i was trying to get out of the car he trapped my leg in the car door bruising it badly.
when i finally got out he saw my size and legged it wheelspinning off in the sunset.
my policy is if i make a mistake i wave sorry, if they make a mistake take my horn abuse and p"ss off!

I had something similar when I lived in Paris when this pillock cut me up deliberately in traffic.  When I game him the very french diratrite over the horn he got out of his chav'ed up tin'o'sh*te so I did too....

Upon seeing a 17st rugby league prop the 5" something parisian swiftly shut up, turned around and got back in his car.  The worst part for him was that the traffic was awful so he couldent get away from me giving him that 'crazy black man look' every time I pulled along side (which musy have looked so funny cos I'm white!)

To top it all his gf was in the passenger seat.....  8-)

I loved it !!!!
I used to play in the 3rd Division in France which is prob the equivalent of a small town league thing but a french RL TV presenter called me the butcher (i'll leave that one to the imagination)  off the pitch though I wouldent hurt a fly....   ::) ::) ::)

Trying to get over some injuries and play for the army if I can get to the level required...

Not good .. :(

Just take care of yourself ... I hope you have names of both, and the police report number .. you might be able to claim damages IF you end up losing money for missing work whilst injured.
