Still have thoughts about selling it occasionally but can't bring myself to part with it as all it costs me is tax ::) And of course fuel when I finally get to drive it ;D

I felt that way about the Nissan for the longest time.. however.. it sold tonight for £899, assuming the buyer doesn't mess me around.  :'( :'( :'(
TBH, I wouldn't even consider letting it go for less than £4500 which, as we all know, is strong money for any Omega, even a LPG'd 3.2 with all the options and low mileage ;) And I'd still be taking a loss, although not too big

Thats Roger Budden prices.... ??? ??? a site I was viewing yesturday as they have a nice Omega estate, but top money.....but you get what you pay for..... :-\ :-\ :-\

*cough*

As part of the negotiation with any insurance co, phone the sales lines, and don't take out the policy unless they agree to give full (5yr) NCD on the 2nd policy. Then next year, you are free to move anywhere, as you have the NCD proof ::)

For those thinking your entitlement to NCD is purely on yourself individually, its actually individually per vehicle.  So I have seperate NCD for all 3 of mine - 20+ yrs for the Elite, 9+ for the MV6 and 12+ for the Kawasaki.  I switched the NCDs over on the 2 Omegas this year, as it worked out cheaper, as the premium for the Elite had risen significantly.

Sadly, that's what I assumed the bloke meant when he said "We'll mirror your NCD for you".. but, one year on, it evidently was not ;) Now I'm 2/3rds of the way through accruing 'max' NCB anyway, I may as well continue..

Having said that, Flux's customer care so far has been pretty good - NCD aside - when I called with the price I'd had from Admiral they couldn't get near it (£120 more) but said they'd check around and call back. I didn't expect a call back at all, but I got one, and one matching the Admiral price, too.

Still tempted to go with Admiral, but I have that twinge of "better the devil you know"...

P.S. LD, did you miss a decimal place out in there?  :P ;)

Agreed, hence why it stays ;) If he can get that price for his cars I could get it for mine... It's in Roger Budden condition ;)

Nope ;D ;D That's why it isn't for sale ;)

This site makes me chuckle sometimes. When I advertised my saloon at what I considered to be quite strong money I was told it was too cheap ::) I got full asking through Auto Trader, which was higher than I asked on here, though :y :y

We all want something for nothing, LD ;)

I must have advertised the Nissan too cheaply too - as it sold within 20 minutes of listing the auction at the BIN price! Either that or the buyer has no intention of paying, of course.. ;D

I bought it at fairly high money and have spent a lot on it, hence why I wouldn't part with it ;)

TBH, I think the main reason I/we have put such a high price tag on it is because neither of us want to part with it :-X ::) ;D

Ditto with my 3.2 - I think I paid £3200 for it. If I sold now, I imagine I'd be lucky to see £1500.. so here it stays, unless an immaculate, rust free, low miles 2.2DTi manual Elite estate turns up for peanuts, of course. Then I could be tempted..

[edit] I just checked - I paid £4000 for it. I wish I hadn't looked, now!

I'm the same with TBE. Its price is too high, so nobody will buy it, but its (normally, not currently for obvious reasons) always for sale if someone offers the right money.

Silver Bullet, though, like the Rover, RIP, is never for sale.

Yep... If someone seriously offered me the right money I'd part with mine, but I'm not advertising it and not really keen on selling it ::)
