I passed mine in 1982 on a Vespa P200E. I did it just before the new 2 part test came in

I had many Lambretta's and Vespa's over the years but when I started to commute between Chester and Manchester, I bought A 250N Superdream

I always thought they were funny things, one lad from school had a scooter and thought it idled at 4rpm and when run in 27rpm.

Another lad wanted to be a mod but really wanted a Ducati so didn't know what to do, last time I saw him he still was running an FS1E.

I do remember riding home from a friends farm and overtaking scooters all the way home (must have been a few hundred in the swarm as I passed around 50)

Superdreams - a couple of friends whose band practised at the farm had them - I remember the balance shaft chains needed adjusting on them. I was still riding my GP100.

Both of them have fallen off and missed a gig, guitarist broke an arm and another friend stepped in, the other time it was the bassist and I ended up controlling the lighting rig 8-)

Commuting - I did Gloucester Worcester on a GSX600F until I got done with totting up.

Tried a couple of times late 70s in my teenage years but didn't pass until 82 when I had a GS550 with a Squire ST2 sidecar attached. Argued with the examiner about which brake to use on a bend as well but he clearly had no idea about sidecars as he had me do the slow riding bit....had to keep catching him up
