As one of the original culprits I will just say that it was not a rascist comment but an opinion of which i am entiled to hold. reading back on this thread it seems to have got completely out of hand! someone mentions free speech so where is it? we are all entitled to our opinions based on personal experiences.

My own take on the word foreigner is someone who has no understanding of our language or culture, as i would be in any other country. indeed i am a foreigner in this country as i live in wales but do not speak welsh!

every one is entitled to an opinion and we should agree to differ.

I genuinely believe you didn't mean it in that way - but you have to be aware that when said in a certain way - others can percieve it in a different context to how it was intended...

I thoroughly agree James and the subsequent comments have made me quite sick!

Please could everyone remember this site has a world wide spread, and I dread to think what those "foreigner" must be making of all this!

Please stop this racist comment now before it becomes totally OTT and illegal.  I repeat we must never go down the Nazis Germany route!

They came for the foreigners,
and I did not stop them.

They came for the Jews,
and I did not stop them.

They came for the Trade Unionists,
and I did not stop them.

They came for me,
and there was no one left to stop them.

Remember, 54 million people died due to this ignorance.

May we never forget!
Good point, well made Lizzie.
Trouble is when the public start to complain about the influx of migrant labour the radicals have a stage to propose their draconian policies and get support from the working man who thinks that if we sent back all those people the country would suddenly take an upturn and he would be in a job paying top money again.
The BNP are basically the friendly face of Nazism no matter how reasonable they sound, their core values are akin to those of Hitler and Mosley and they need to be treated as such not as a viable alternative to democratic government.Rant over.

Well spoken CaptainZok, and may they never prosper! :y

In addition there are individuals like me, born in Malta, but with English parents and lived and worked in England for the majority of my life.  Where do I fit in with the sweeping statement made?  Am I, like all such children born abroad from militarily marriages, and others, included in this "foreigners" statement?

Were you born on Crown property?

No.  In a British military hospital but on Maltese land leased to the Crown as I understand it.  I certainly ended up with a Maltese Birth Certificate. and only found out a few years back I had not automatically been registered back in the UK!  That only happened after 1957 and I was born in 1953.  An urgent British registration took place as a consequence. ;D :y

I think this thread has been a perfect illustration of how the subject of Immigration in modern Britain is now completely taboo. It immediately degenerates into accusations of racism and the holocaust.

Better stick to a much safer subject like how to change the widget on your clapped out Omega  ;D ;D ;D

OMG wasn't the Omega made by Germans  :-X

No it was not a field hospital, but a great big building in Imtarfa, near Rabat that was ten years ago converted into apartments.

Here in Germany I decided to walk part of the way home last Friday night after a trip to the (not so) local nightclub, I live in a quiet area and on the officers patch so no risk, right?

I turn into my street and I hear the noise, making an awful racket, ripping stuff up, running around, basically in a frienzie.  I try to go by without being noticed but then I get a warning not to come any closer or I was gonna get it.  I'm 6'1" and 17st rugby player and he showed no fear at all.  So I backed off slowly and waited for him to move on until trying again.

I have a pic of the ruffian here........................

Immigration is now a subject in the UK where most people are now too afraid to talk about for fear of being shouted down as racist or immediately branded a member of the BNP. Politicians will run a mile rather then talk about it. I think that most reasonable members of the public would be shocked if they knew the full extent to which the UK has now completely lost control of its borders. I am speaking here about non EU Immigration and Asylum which the UK Government still notionally is supposed to control. The problem has is now simply become to big to fix and is storing up some really dreadful future problems. Quite how the UK (an island surrounded by water) ended up in this mess no one in Government will explain but Germany a country with 9 borders has a problem on no where near our scale. The UK Government is now too timid to enforce many of its own immigration laws and even lacks the will to deport people known to be conspiring to commit acts of terrorism against its own citizens. The people in the Security Services and Anti Terrorist branch are in utter despair. The UK will pay a horrible price for the cowardice and rank politically correct stupidity of NuLabour and its predecessor the Major Government. The worlds biggest DNA database, 23% of the worlds CCTV camera's and a national ID card scheme wont save us from the mess they've created and what we’ve got coming.  >:(

Although I'm no expert in this subject but immigrant problem become really serious for UK and I see this with my own eyes years ago..

However there are many UK citizens living outside UK..And I think its normal for a historical empire to send and take enormous immigrant populations..

Also in my country in touristic zones even there are villages made up of Brits..And even local managers are UK citizens..

(And its a known fact that they keep their zones clean and tidy  :y)

In addition to that here is also debates about a similiar subject even in senate to sell areas for foreigners or not..
