Think Mrs. The Boy should do the question for Newent, much prefered questions like, "What are the names of the seven dwarves?"  ;D

I know some of them

Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick & Titch   no's  7 escape me for now 8-)

Firstly - I haven't read many of the responses to this thread....

Nick, Sorry you felt like you were left out. That was not planned in any way shape or form.

I can't comment on other people, but I did try to speak to everyone, and I was not ignoring you or pushing you away at any point throughout the meet.

As for the quiz, I can't actually remember how I found out about it, and I was certainly not the first to be told about it either!(I don’t have a problem with that BTW, as I just cross the bridge as I get to it) I knew there was going to be a quiz as it was mentioned on the forum before hand, but I didn’t know when, where and who by etc.

Myself and a few others decided to put both tents together to try and create a more Central point which we could all stay in for a social drink, and meeting new people etc. And this is where the quiz took place. The idea of four random groups was a very good idea (whosever’s that was), and did help us all meet new members. However it’s a pity we didn’t all stay together once the quiz had finished.

As for the music, I must admit I did think it was a little loud at times, however an no point did anyone ask 'Do you mind turning that down' - If that was the case, action would have been taken by either myself, or the owner of the MP3 player / Laptop / phone which was used for the music source.
As for the talking, shouting and laughing in the tent.... Come on mate!! Its a meet in the middle of a field that happens once or twice a year! People are there to have a laugh, have a drink, and show their cars... Did you really expect us to whisper to each other???  :o
As for the 'Turning music off at 10:30' etc... Well... My Gran goes to bed later than that!
The group photos… We left it too late on the Saturday, so I suggested Sunday to a few people, next thing the sun had gone down so we had no choice!

As fast as Sunday came, Omegas vanished!  ;D I know people had other commitments which I FULLY understand, however I (and a lot of other members on here) didn’t expect them to be so soon. Guy must have had a shock when he woke up and got out of his van, as half of the members has gone!  ;D

The runway… Like I said to you, we shouldn’t really have been on there as it is still live in places. I didn’t know what was going on when a few members went on the runway on Saturday… And I still don’t know who, or what happened. All I know is that the time which I went on the runway in my car, was purely a case of ‘sod it, I will join them’ as others were already on their way there… and like sheep, everyone followed! And YES… we did all get bollocked by the farmer!!!

Over all, I enjoyed the meet... Yes things weren’t brilliant, and the separation wasn't ideal, but that’s beyond my control really.

All I can say is:

Thanks for everyone that turned up, and I deeply hope that you all at least enjoyed SOME of it!

The York meet will be happening again, and your ALL welcome to come along if you wish. :)

i never made a complaint about the music >:(
i just said that if i couldn't get my boys back to sleep after they was woken up gone 2am i would of asked for the noise to be kept down
that was all

i managed to cuddle my boys back to sleep so i left it at that

Ian, in my opinion we had a great meet, and I thank you for organising it, yes there were issues with the facilities, but we, and other talked about that, old skool camping. This was a big meet, and given that not everyone will be happy with everything, this is no way a reflection on you and your organisation, in my opinion.  The site was great, not really anyone to disturb, and I will be at the next one. Did you say August...... :D :D :D

Wasn't a problem for me, as I purposely pitched away from that tent, and I wasn't going to bed that early.

But there will always be people attending with lit'luns, and whilst we can't entirely pander to them, maybe a quieten down by, for eg, 11pm etc?  I'm not on about everyone going to bed then, or 'lights out' type silence, just a awareness that peeps are trying to kip down.

Though I thought it was a very well organised meet, great idea with the marquees :y, and to have the field to ourselves :y :y.
