A life and a half in Telecoms then had the opportunity to do missionary work in Spain. The brief? Simply to promote real ale drinking. Five years on and after little noticeable results (i.e. still only lager) have become a farmer, predominantly olives. Like all farming jobs it is long hours and little return. In what little spare time left am renovating a house though that seems to be a losing battle. Any remaining time is used keeping the Omega all purpose vehicle running.

Of course you used to be Olive ;D ;D

That was a name change on the witness protection programme. Didn't expect a sex change too! Might have to have another now my cover is blown.

Left school at 16, always wanted to be a lorry driver from a young age, but not possible till i reached the ripe old age of 21 so spent my first 6 months of employment sewing gussets in womens knickers (125 dozen a day !!!) on a YTS scheme, the moved factories and was a sewing machinits making 3 piece suites.
Once 17 and passed my driving test became a white van(wo)man delivering parcels for Federal Express.
At 18 was old enough to drive a 7.5ton truck and got a job delivering nuts ,bolts and other fasteners nationwide for a local company.

It was my 21st birthday on a saturday and had my HGV1 course booked for the following monday, passed my test the following friday :y following monday started work as a propper truck driver, did that for 17 years, did every job there was is the haulage indusry including 3 years covering europe.

Then spent 18 months working as a debt collector for a major banking group (london scottish finance)

Now a stay at home mum looking after my kids and husband.

43 years in IT, 18 months unemployed.  Not a happy bunny.

Anybody need any huge databases designed?  Will work cheap.  No programming - 40-odd years is ENOUGH!

Expert rescuer of c*cked-up projects.  Don't drink.  Do moan a lot. :'( :'( :'(
