Confused now.........it states "service can only be recieved on COMPETITORS networks".....does that mean its on 02 or not, as my information (from Parrot uk) says Tesco only ROAMS on 02, but runs on an agreement with ORANGE/VIRGIN networks, that CCRT700 will not take.
Don't want to be argumentative, but would like to clarify this once and for all, as other kit I install (autodiallers via cellular network) use the voda/02 nets, but tesco have the extra value top-up feature and would be cheaper!!

As mentioned Tesco is in agreement with o2, its a deal with them, has nothing to do with Orange.

Virgin is an MVNO of T-Mobile, and has absolutely nothing to do with Orange, o2 or Tesco!  ;)

Mmm. thought parrot may have got it a bit wrong, will ring their install dept in the morning, they must have got their info from somewhere reliable to publish it in a "techtalk" will be surprised if they are right, cos it doesnt quite make sense, does it?

Tesco runs on top of O2.  Tesco Mobile is a JV between Tesco Ltd and O2, so would only ever use O2 ;)

Vodafone do a dual sim on contract only (or use to), a second transparent number that sits on and shares your main account.

Down side is the outgoing numbers are different and both sims no longer support GPRS or 3g, not a problem for the Head Unit, could be for the one in your pocket though.

Sorry to ressurect this long dead thread - but tried a Tesco PAYG SIM and got now joy from the CRT700 fitted in the CDX saloon.

Does the O2 sim have a different physical position within the large credit card for the SIM to the Tesco one, or are they all the same?
