Stripped paneling and door cover off Transit to find an irritating rattle that has been driving me mad. Replaced the cam cover gasket on Omega and then cleaned the oil off the block where it had been seeping . Traced the source of a misfire . :y
Had a couple of hours more to myself so decided to have a go at this "Claying " malarky .....
I bought a Meguirs kit some two years ago but was very sceptical as to what it would achieve .
Anyway , I'm impressed . Paint surface is glass smooth and after polishing the car with Auto Glym super resin it certainly shines . Well worth the effort.
This is a poor photo as it was raining outside but it shows the results on the roof.

 :-?

for once I tought I'm looking a 16 th century galleon ;D

good work :y

Went to Heathrow yesterday to pick my niece up, brimmed tank, pumped tyres to load pressure and off I went. Did journey there and back in 4 hours 15 minuets, (not including waiting ages for niece to come through customs), 248mls brimmed tank this morning, it took 36.5lts that's about 32 mph. Dashboard was telling me I averaged 38.6 mpg?????  Who's maths are wrong mine or the cars 8-) 8-) :'(

i drove back from brum airport yesterday. brimmed her with juice, pumped up tyres, checked oil and water and cleaned her. all great.

now i got to attend to the wheel arch rust (AGAIN!!!!), get the obstruction out so the rear passenger window goes up and down properly  ::) and then fit my replacement ECU.

Ill have all that done within a decade i reckon  ;D

I changed the plugs....what a battle :D.

I also change the oil, but couldn't get the oil filter off due to it being torqued up something fierce. I'll perhaps take it to a service station and watch them struggle.  :y

My oil leak is....  :'( :'( :'(

Repaired a keyfob for TheDaddy, as the poor sod can't lock his car. Reckon somebody has already had a fair hack it it previously, so we'll have to wait and see if it holds.  Didn't want to spend too long on it, easier just to give him another and program it up than waste more than and hour on it.

Whilst I had the iron out, replaced the switches in one of TBE's fobs.  Had the switches for over a year - it was one of my first planned jobs for it, but only just got around to it ::)
