That Kevin Wood does sometimes put forward a very compelling argument :y

Teach her what he left leg is for and get her a Mk. 2 manual MX5. :y

I was looking at Mk1s earlier - for a bit of cheap fun.

Mrs. KW has not managed to break anything other than a coil pack in 9 years and almost 100k miles.. and you might get to "borrow" it and give it a flaying every now and then. :D
Jap cars are reliable, but then there's parts if the do break...was once quoted £300 for a Maf at Mazda Newbury.

Isn't the mx5 gay though?  :-\

I imagine they do have a bit of a problem with that (like most Japanese cars of the era - produced before they figured out they needed to rust proof cars for our market ;D).. (Mk1 that is, not Mk2)

After having a Polo anything will be a step up.

The only issue is the latest VAG diesels are bloody rubbish (which is a shame as the 1.9's were v-good) and the Getrag DSG box has 'issues' for very few real benefits.

Yeah I've told her she's not having DSG. Much as she likes it, major headache.

On mentioning mx5.... "ooh they're a bit low to the ground" which is what I thought she'd say tbh. I can see a Lorry rolling straight over the top of one of those and not even notice...?  :-\
And iirc she saw one in the Mazda dealer when looking at Mazda 5, I said the handle well... Because they're low to the ground.  :D

"Don't like mini, don't like skoda, don't like Volvo.... Might like BMW" she said... Sigh.

Scirocco, apparently....? DSG is becoming a recurring theme.  :(

Time to buy her the DSG then.. or man up and recover your conkers from the jar on the bedside table?  :P ;D ;D
