Hehe, you caught my Alzheimer's.  We have dis used this before. No went local. Bpv. With his added bloody vat came to £137. FFS. :'(

Have we :-[ :-[ :-[

Blimey... That's more than twice what I paid! :o :o
Yeah, well he quoted £110. So I thought for the agro, its just round the corner and available now, I hate that journey and fuel and time costs etc, just do it, job done. Plus they know me now and are sensible with criticisms. They passed it. But then added vat to the quote.... 'dangle berries'! I said. Cheeky bugger!

Quoted me £110 to start with but I pointed out that he'd told Teilo he'd do it for £65 ::) ::)

TBH, I don't think I'd use him again :-X :-X

Indeed.... Although there is another Estate being converted around here (as you know) and a possibly Bonny Gold one too, although I'm sure he'll arrange his own inspection elsewhere

Well, it is two hours work. Or at least that how long they took. Tech2 on it to check fuel trims on gas and petrol. Up on lift, tick everything off, log the tank cert etc, well you know the drill.... Their hourly rate is £50 an hour anyway.  :-/

Wouldn't mind quite so much but they kept me waiting an hour past the 2pm appointment, and had tea brake half way through when they gave me the booby trap colapsable upside down industrial size swarfega bucket to sit round with them.  >:( oh yeeeah, very funny.  ;D

Put the £250 tax disc in the elite, that's all.

Currently, i can be found in the red lion, so doubt I'll do much else today
Aye? ?  250?  :o

Yep... Getting the V5 changed over to "Alternative Fuel Car" gives you a £10 discount on VED ::)

Have you sorted an inspection yet?
Yes, it's on the register, told insurers where to stick their 26£ premium for a " modification " the cheeky basts!

Tax isn't due. Should I have cashed it in and re taxed? For a tenner?  :-/

You need to visit local DVLA office to sort the log book change (Make sure you take insurance and MOT docs with you) and to exchange your current Tax disc... Refund for the difference will come in the post via cheque ::)

By having the V5 changed it should make any future insurance/MOT visits fairly painless as the LPG "Modification" is registered ;) ;)

Did you go to the same bloke I did?
They are a bunch of useless retards.  How can something so bloody simple take so bloody long.

I have now been without my logbook since the Friday after the Essex meet, whenever that was.  >:(

I really don't give a flying opps about the £10 - its cost me way more than that in darting about trying to get this sorted, not to mention phone calls and stamps.  All I'm trying to achieve is having it 'right'

Talk about a bunch of efficient mongrels.  And precisely why all senior civil servants need to be turffed out, and people with common sense brought in.

oppsing mongrels, the lot of them  >:(

INEFFICIENT. Sorry, was on a rant, and quite angry, having just received yet another letter from DVLA this morning.  Some little shit is gonna have a bad day Monday morning.

Finally got round to redrilling the new Capri discs to fit my Avenger. Now discovered that I need to turn about 6mm off the back of the hub  so that they don't bind on the strut. And my little lathe won't do that. So it will be the weekend before it's done.
Don't remember having to do this when we fitted similar brakes to a Sunbeam 20 odd years ago.

Nothing's ever easy is it?
